How the students misconception about this chapter:

Plant needs 4 things to make photosynthesis process,

Sunlight, water, chlorophyll and carbon dioxide.  From the equation, only sunlight, water and carbon dioxide use to make food while chlorophyll used to trap sunlight. So, only glucose is the food for plants. Students are confused about the photosynthesis process. They think that all things that are need in the process are food. Actually, it is a substance that used to make the glucose. Thus only starch is the food for plants.
